This video discusses my BIGGEST oral path pet peeve: the misdiagnosis of candidiasis (or "thrush"). Many other pathologic entities such as coated tongue, geographic tongue/benign migratory glossitis, and burning mouth syndrome are improperly diagnosed as thursh. This video reviews these misdiagnoses as well as "thrush" or candidiasis including its two major forms: pseudomembranous candidiasis and erythematous candidiasis.
