In order to move away from the traditional “one-size-fits-all” factory model of education, some consider personalized learning as an alternative. Personalized learning can address the distinct learning aspirations, needs and cultural backgrounds of individual students. Should personalized learning be developed on a large scale? If so, what would the modalities be in terms of creativity, equity, privacy, quality and the retention of a core body of knowledge that should be common to all?
