At number 5 is the LB7 Duramax Diesel - this engines was a game changer when it was released and was well ahead of its time with a fully electronic high pressure common rail fuel system with the CP3 bosch fuel pump. it was producuing a ton of power and set the stage for GM for years to come. At number 4 is the high recognised 6.7L cummins diesel and is an absoilute staple in the diesel world. in my opinion until the release of the 2019 engines the 6.7L cummins was the pace car for the other manuafactuers. during the 2007 - 2018 years I think the 6.7L cummins was the clear best engine for hD trucks. at number 3 I have the holy grail of the Duramax world - the 6.6L LBZ duramax and this engine was a compilation of the already success duramax engine line up but GM had worked out many of the issues and this engine was the most reliable, long lasting duramax ever built in many peoples opinion. this engine was also the last of the emission free duramax engine which really helps with reliability and people don't have to deal with emission related problems. at number 2 is my very own 7.3L powerstroke diesel - these engines are extremely durable and a true commercial grade unit. they have a large displacement engine turning out not much power so they just run and last foever.
