Dosan Ahn Changho-class submarine of the Republic of Korea Navy

Dosan Ahn Changho-class submarine of the Republic of Korea Navy as part of the third phase of Korean Attack Submarine (KSS-III) program. It is notable for being one of the very few non-nuclear submarines capable of launching submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM). Displacing at around 3,800 tons (submerged), Dosan Ahn Changho-class submarine features an Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) which enables it to operate for three weeks while submerged. It is armed with 6x torpedo tubes and 6x K-VLS cells capable of launching "Tiger Shark" heavyweight torpedos, supersonic land-attack / anti-ship missiles, and Hyunmoo-4-4 SLBMs. Dosan Ahn Changho-class submarine was designed by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).
