A new Dead by Daylight Game Mode has been introduced on July 25th. The Game Mode is called 2v8. The 2v8 Game Mode has 2 Killers and 8 Survivors in one trial and the Survivor's objective is to repair 8 out of 13 generators to power 3 exit gates to escape. Generators now take 70 seconds to complete instead of 90 seconds. When only 2 Survivors remain in the trial, 3 hatches will spawn around the map for Survivors to escape. When Survivors are at the second Cage state, they have the ability to heal themselves without a med-kit and the ability to fully recover which will grant a 20 second Endurance Status Effect and a 10% Haste Status Effect for 10 seconds. Survivors who have not been sent to the Cage will have their auras revealed when a generator is completed. The Killer's objective is to send Survivors to the Cage instead of hooking them. Send Survivors to the Cage 3 times and they will be sacrificed to the Entity. To send a Survivor to the Cage you will need to put Survivors into the dying state. Only 5 Realms are available for 2v8 at the moment. The 5 Realms are MacMillan Estate, Autohaven Wreckers, Coldwind Farm, Red Forest, and Crotus Penn Asylum. The maps will be bigger than usual so there will be more pallet loops and windows. Survivors will be able to find 20 Chests in total to get some items. Only 5 Killers are available for 2v8 at the moment. The 5 Killers are The Trapper, The Wraith, The Hillbilly, The Nurse, and The Huntress. All Survivors (both original and licensed) are available to play for 2v8. Perks will not be available for the 2v8 Game Mode. Instead there will be Classes for Survivors and Skills for both Survivors and Killers. There are 4 Classes Survivors can use. The Classes are Guide, Medic, Escapist, and Scout. Each Class comes with their own unique skills. Each Killer has two unique Skills. One Team Skill and one Innate Skill. The other two Skills are the same for all Killers. By completing the 2v8 Tome, you will be able to unlock rewards.
