Cotton was added in a newer update! Cotton has a CropValues of 1.5 Today's video is an in-depth look at the Scrap Mechanic Survival Raid Spawning Mechanics. I explain how, where, and why raids spawn. To be honest, there's a lot in this video. I'm guessing most of it will change in future updates. I made this video since I want to see scrap mechanic grow into a larger game. Due to the modding api breaking all games due to the update, and the survival modding api not being available (plus too many restrictions on the modding api) I decided to find ways to manipulate the game without having to mod it in any way. The terrain is all the ground collisions. Rocks, and Trees are terrain assets (so it won't work). Blocks, Buildings, Objects, and Water/Chemicals do not count as terrain. ======================== Want to start modding in scrap mechanic?   / discord   Here's a rundown of what I talk about: Cells: The sm world is a grid of 256x256 area's, each individual area is called a cell. CropValue: Total sum of crop value's in a cell (If bigger then 10, raids can spawn) HighLevel Count: Amount of crops with a cropValue bigger then or equal to 3 in a cell Raiders have 32 spawn attempts, they spawn at random within 200 blocks to 320 blocks from the raid center Raiders can only spawn on terrain There are 3 farmbot states: Default, Raider, Ambush Ways to prevent raid spawning: 1. Have less than 10 cropValue in a cell 2. In their spawning radius, either place blocks or non-terrain so that they can't spawn. (such as water) Raidless farms are an interesting topic, they allow the player to play in a "peaceful" mode, without needing to worry about farmbots. Some people enjoy this a lot more, so I hope the raidless farm designs help out. Tiles are not Cells, stop telling me that you think they ar I have been working on a lot for scrap mechanic since the update, most of it I did not make into a video since... making videos is hard!
