However, this version was an adult version using more graphic terms. It was then later published in Western Folklore novels providing different versions that were more suitable for children in the 1950's. "Itsy Bitsy Spider" is also referred to as "Eency Weency Spider" or "Incy Wincy Spider" and is a very popular young children's nursery rhyme.
