Thank you for watching I hope it was helpful. discord invite code - / discord Gamecube controller adapter driver changer (https://zadig.akeo.ie/) ViGEmBus Driver - https://github.com/ViGEm/ViGEmBus/rel... CREDITS TO THE SMASH YUZU DISCORD SERVER : A controller type that has stood the test of time, Gamecube Controllers are used by a lot of the professional smash community as their go to choice while playing Smash. A bit more involved, we'll go over the steps of setting up your Gamecube Controller to use while playing. ➤ Download and open Zadig (https://zadig.akeo.ie/) ➤ Under Options, ensure List All Devices is checked/enabled. ➤ In the main dropdown, look for WUP-028 and select it from the list. If you don't see it, ensure if you're using a third party adapter to set it Wii U / Switch mode. Also make sure the black cable provided for the adapter is plugged into a working USB port (The gray one is only for rumble, nothing else.) and try different ports. ➤ Select WinUSB in the right most dropdown and hit Replace Driver. Accept any system driver modification prompts and let it do its thing. If you are a host, you can stop here! Yuzu added native support for Gamecube Controllers + Adapters in the latest version, so it will translate the inputs for you without any extra programs as long as you select the Gamecube Controller input in Yuzu. (Though I'd recommend following the rest of these steps just in case you wanna play someone on their PC instead.) If you're a client, continue on with the steps. USB Gamecube Adapters use a method called HID to send data to the device it is plugged into. However, HID is raw data so this means Parsec/Moonlight don't know how to read it natively. We use a program called Delfinovin to translate the inputs from HID to XInput, which is a standard controller input type that most, if not all games/programs can use. ➤ Download and install ViGEmBus (https://github.com/ViGEm/ViGEmBus/rel... - Use this one, people have had issues installing the newest release.) It might ask for a PC restart - if it does, restart it and reopen the installer and check if it's fully installed ViGEmBus. ➤ Download and extract the newest release of Delfinovin (https://github.com/Struggleton/Delfin...) to somewhere safe, where you won't have to move or delete the files from. Make sure you leave the stick neutral when beginning the controller loop so that it can gather the correct values to center them with. ➤ Once you're done configuring the settings to your liking, open Delfinovin. It'll open with a menu with options. In order to select options, type the corresponding number and hit enter. Before hitting the first menu option to begin converting Gamecube inputs, it might be worth it to calibrate the controllers using the second menu option. Gamecube controllers use a special octagonal gate, which restricts how far the stick can reach, in comparison to a normal controller like the Switch Pro Controller or Playstation Dualshock. The calibration option let you set your sticks up so they get to use the full range of the stick. But if you're just using this for Yuzu, you should be fine without needing to calibrate if you have CalibrateCenter enabled in your settings.txt file and you set up the ranges/dead zones in Yuzu on your host's PC. Hit one, and then enter. Delfinovin should now be reading the inputs from your Gamecube adapter and converting them for use on the PC. Follow the portion on mapping buttons (Mapping Buttons in Parsec/Yuzu!) on how to get your buttons/sticks set up properly. Yuzu and Parsec both give you the option to map your buttons and stick inputs. Make sure you know how to do this so you can properly use your controller on other people's PCs!
