2023 Kia KX1 in-depth Walkaround Introducing the new Kia KX1, a compact crossover that is also known as the Kia Stonic in other parts of the world. In China, Kia has adopted a naming system using the letter "K" as a prefix for all their models, including the K2, K3, KX3, K4, KX Cross, KX5, and KX7. This makes it easy to remember and identify their products. Manufactured by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture, the KX1 comes with a range of engine options. Buyers can choose from a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine, a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, and a 1.6-liter CRDi four-cylinder diesel engine. However, only the 1.4 turbo with 100 hp is available as a singular engine option, which may not be impressive to some. The engine is paired with either a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. In terms of dimensions, the KX1 has a wheelbase of 2,570 mm (101.2 in), and its length ranges from 4,100–4,140 mm (161.4–163.0 in). It has a width of 1,735 mm (68.3 in) and a height of 1,533 mm (60.4 in). The vehicle's curb weight ranges from 1,060–1,104 kg (2,337–2,434 lb).
