Universal Mercury II: How to use - Video manual

A video manual on how to use the half-frame 35mm camera Mercury II. This unique camera was introduced in 1942 by Universal. It was very advanced for its time, using a rotary disc shutter which enabled a speed of 1/1000. It was also the first camera to have a hot-shoe for flash. *Edit*: the film speeds on the dial (7:31) are not ASA (ISO) but Weston Speed scale which translates to ISO as follows: 8 = 10 ISO 12= 16 ISO 16= 20 ISO 24= 32 ISO 32= 40 ISO 50= 64 ISO 64= 80 ISO 100= 125 ISO 125= 160 ISO 200= 250 ISO 250= 820 ISO INDEX 0:00 The camera 0:35 The rotary disc shutter 1:10 The camera parts 1:53 Loading the film 4:22 Taking photos 4:45 Setting the aperture 4:51 How to focus 5:28 Caution 5:45 Using "B" (Bulb) and "T" (Time exposure) 6:31 Depth of focus table (depth of field) 7:02 Using the exposure calculator 9:27 Accessories (cable release, flash, tripod) 10:07 Removing the film ***Become a member to support my channel:    / @filmcameras   ***Follow us on Facebook!   / film-cameras-111625116858987   ***Please SUBSCRIBE to get updates on new videos!
