The DSGMC Elections, are conducted through Ballot Paper, instead of EVMs. There was an urgent need to familiarize and train the polling staff on opening, closing and sealing of Ballot Boxes. The paper work to be done while preparing the Ballot Box, its sealing before the Polling Agents and finally its closing/sealing at the end of Poll is also required to be fully explained to the stakeholders. Therefore this short video training material on Ballot Box, was prepared exclusively for the DSGMC Elections. The training for Polling Personnel in conventional manner seemed impractical and hazardous , at the moment, in view of sudden surge in the number of covid 19 cases, in the last few days. It was therefore decided to impart training maximum through printed reading material/handbooks and through Audio-visual multi-media , so that there is minimum human interactions.
