Located in a quaint neighbourhood of Thrissur, this home is designed as a traditional Kerala Nalukettu. Through the grand threshold, affectionately known as the Padipurra, one is guided into the heart of the residence. As one traverses this architectural threshold, one’s gaze is captivated by the distinctive elements that define this abode including wooden pillars and balustrades, sloping roofs and intricately carved doors and windows. A central courtyard also known as the Nadumuttam converges the steep roofs into an interesting composition that lets in natural light inside the house. The courtyard is surrounded by the living and dining spaces, all glorious in rich hues, textures, and artworks. A mural in the pooja room framed by a stunning wooden jali adds vibrance to the entire space.
