How To Upload A Video To YouTube If you want to upload a video to YouTube properly, there are a few steps you need to make sure you take while uploading to get the best possible results for your video. First, no matter which page you're on in YouTube, click the Upload button at the top. You have 2 ways to upload a video to YouTube here - you can either drag and drop the video into the Upload area, or click Upload and select the video you want to upload. On the video upload page, you'll see the upload progress bar at the top. This shows how fast your video is uploading to YouTube. It's recommended to start filling in some of the video details while the video uploads to YouTube. Put in a relevant, descriptive title - don't put spam words! In the Description box, describe what your video is about and use it to post any relevant links, if necessary. In Tags, put in the title of the video, as well as any other tags you think are relevant to the video. Try to think of relevant search terms that people might use to find your video. There are suggested tags below you can use. Try to put as many tags as you can without losing focus of each one's relevance to the uploaded video. At the bottom, you can either choose from pre-selected thumbnails by YouTube or upload your own custom thumbnail (max file size is 2MB). Important note to keep in mind: it's recommended to keep the video in Private at this upload stage, and only once it's fully uploaded and you're comfortable that you've completed all the important areas, then you can make it Public. In the Playlists section, you can add your new video to an existing playlist or create a new one to upload your video to. If you have monetization enabled, the second tab is where you can either enable or disable it. In Advanced Settings, choose the most appropriate Category for your video. If you want to submit where your video was recorded you can do so in Video Location. In Video Language, if your video is in a specific language, indicate which one here. Recording date is another optional area, but if you'd like to submit it this is where you can. If you want to allow or disallow comments, you can on the top left of the page. In License and Rights Ownership, you can either choose to keep the rights so that no one can use your video without consent, or choose Creative Commons to allow others to use it. In Caption Certification, select the one that describes your video the best. In Syndication, you can choose to have the video viewed Everywhere or only in Monetized platforms. If you're unsure, leave it as Everywhere. If you don't want to allow embedding, you can check the box at the bottom, and the same for if you don't want to notify subscribers of the new uploaded video once it goes live. If you have age restricted content, check the box at the bottom of the page. Once you're ready and the video has been fully uploaded, click Done. The video has now been uploaded. It's still in Private mode, but you can still see the video playing in your account. Once you're ready, set it to public from the video editing page, which has almost the same layout as what we saw before on the Video Upload page. That's how to upload a video to YouTube! #UploadYouTubeVideo #YouTubeUpload #UploadVideoYouTube
