Their 2016 record 'Light We Made' was meant to be the band's final full-length record; however, in 2023 the band surprised the world with the announcement of their reunion, and shortly after, released their thrilling full-length comeback 'with you in spirit'. Balance and Composure’s fourth LP 'with you in spirit' is an intensely self-reflective record for vocalist and guitarist Jon Simmons, an uprooting examination of the supports on which a life is built. An arresting, atmospheric collection of melodic post-punk and towering rock, the record grapples with preemptive grief, wrestling with god and faith, familial responsibility, and familial mortality. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to capture Balance and Composure reach new heights and explore new depths from within Schaumburg, Illinois' historic Schweikher House.
