Great looking graphics ESPECIALLY the backgrounds A fantastic electronic soundtrack that you can skip through at anytime throughout the game A variety of unique and challenging boss fights that actually take some time and skill to defeat The gameplay is quite fun with 4 abilities that alternate via cooldowns An upgrade system that is very rewarding, and adds a lot to the replayability as you can go back to complete a stage again (perhaps on a harder difficulty setting for more xp) and you will level up and gain additional points to invest in your ship, weapons, shields, and so on. The cutscenes are black and white comic-style with voice-overs which tend to be slow-paced with slow transitions and don't add a whole lot to the game, but are nice for some story elements. (They also don't fit well with the aesthetics from the game itself, I feel like they should have been colored) Most of the time you are just shooting asteroids, I sort of wish there were more enemies early on or perhaps asteroids that were moving a bit faster as they are hardly ever a threat or danger Overall this is a fantastic side-scrolling shooter with some beautiful backgrounds, a fantastic soundtrack, and some great bosses.
