Why I love to teach in Singapore: Professor Ulf Schlichtmann

We catch up with Prof. Schlichtmann during one of his teaching trips to Singapore, and he tells us why he bothers making the 13-hour flight to Singapore every few months in a year. - Professor Ulf Schlichtmann is a professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering & Information Technology, Technische Universität München (TUM). He is Chair of Electronic Design Automation and has contributed significantly to the startup of the Bachelor of Science programmes in Singapore. Currently, he teaches in the BSc in Electrical Engineering & IT programme, a TUM programme conducted in Singapore, in collaboration with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) & taught in English. He also teaches in TUM Asia's MSc in Integrated Circuit Design programme. Prof Schlichtmann was awarded the Heinz Maier-Lebnitz Prize in 2012 for his significant contributions to the TUM, a recognition of his dedication and passionate work in shaping young scientists for the benefit of tomorrow's world.
