Palengan (Kurdish: پالڵنگان) is a village in the central part of Kamiyaran city in Kurdistan province. Palengan was the center of Ardalan government until the time of He Lukhan Ardalan (969-995). The opinion of most historians is that Palengan was the head of Muscat for the Ardalan government, and from the time of the establishment of this emirate in 1168 AD (547 solar and 562 lunar) until the transfer of the center of their government to Hassanabad Sanandaj fortress around 1600 AD (around 980 solar and 1010 lunar) For more than 400 years, it has been the seat of government of Kodkhodamanshi Ardalan.
