Fujian Youshen, also known as "Welcoming the Gods", is a traditional folk activity held in coastal areas of Fujian Province during the Spring Festival. Central Fujian is also known as Yuanxiao (Filled round balls made of glutinous rice-flour for Lantern Festival). This custom is mainly held from the third to fifteenth day of the first lunar month, and is one of the important activities for rural New Year celebrations. The main purpose of the Fujian God of Amusement activity is to invite deities from the palaces and temples, tour the local area (village), and pray for good weather and peace in the environment. This activity has a strong Taoist color, reflecting people's admiration for gods and their prayers for a better life. The cultural origin of Fujian's wandering gods can be traced back thousands of years. According to historical records, as early as the Tang Dynasty, there were activities of wandering gods in Fujian.福建游神，又称为“迎神”，是福建省沿海各地在春节期间举行的一种传统民俗活动，闽中地区也称闹元宵。 这一习俗主要在农历正月初三至十五期间举行，是乡村“做年”的重要活动之一。 福建游神活动的主要目的是从宫庙里请出神明，巡游本境（村），以祈求风调雨顺、合境平安。 这一活动具有浓厚的道教色彩，反映了人们对神明的敬仰和对美好生活的祈愿。 福建游神的文化由来可以追溯到数千年前。 据史书记载，早在唐朝时期，福建就有游神的活动。
