As the wrath of the people shall be excited by false charges, they will pursue a course toward God's ambassadors very similar to that which apostate Israel pursued toward Elijah. — GC 590.1 Those who apostatize in time of trial will bear false witness and betray their brethren, to secure their own safety. They will tell where their brethren are concealed, putting the wolves on their track. Christ has warned us of this, that we may not be surprised at the cruel, unnatural course pursued by friends and relatives. — Mar 197.3 We are living in the time of the end… The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth… The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating.
