When I composed the original version back in 2013 I immediately liked the melody but I would have never guessed how popular the track would eventually become. In 2012-2013 I was experimenting a lot with different genres such as dubstep. Before that I had only made some techno/dance music so I wanted to try some different things. Because of this tracks like xStep and Dry Out were born. However, then some guy on my YouTube comments told me that he would like to hear some good old techno/dance music I used to make. This is when I started working with Back on Track. This is also why the song is called Back on Track because I was returning to my roots. The track was finished relatively quickly and I was very proud of the track. However, it didn’t gain much popularity until Geometry Dash was released. In fact, when Geometry Dash was released it took 6 more months before it really started to kick off. Now Back on Track is easily my most popular song which is why I wanted to create this new vocal edition. I have featured some vocals on my previous songs but this is the first time I’m adding full vocals to a song which are specifically made for it. Artists like Basshunter and Avicii really gave me inspiration to make this new edition of Back on Track. Like back in 2012-2013, I always want to try new things and improve my music. If you enjoy these vocals I’m certainly going to make more vocal versions of my old songs or compose completely new vocal songs. Don’t worry, I’m not going to make only vocal songs from now on.
