Giant Sequoias are so massive, that it took decades to convince the world that trees could grow to such unbelievable size. Here you'll find the world's largest and perhaps most famous tree—General Sherman. The General Sherman Tree is so massive that even standing next to it, you can only see a fraction of this behemoth. But the Giant Forest is home to so much more than a single tree. Sequoia National Park is a truly unbelievable landscape, home to wonders that defy description. And they're disappearing. This video documents my return to the Giant forest after the devastating fires of 2020 and 2021. One fire, the Castle Fire killed one of every seven remaining giant sequoias. And even more were lost the year after. These are some of the oldest trees on the earth but they are struggling to survive a warming and drying climate.
