China's small commodities hub logs jump in export

The eastern Chinese city of Yiwu, home to the world's largest wholesale market for small commodities, is widely viewed as a barometer of the country's foreign trade. Recent data from Yiwu Customs shows that in the first quarter of the year, the city's total export value reached 17.8 billion U.S. dollars, with a 20 percent increase year on year.
