Here is a good schedule for your Kings Canyon day trip 10:00 am Kings Canyon Bypass or Kings Canyon Scenic Byway A road trip to remember is this Kings Canyon Bypass. Drive through a zigzag road overlooking the mountains of Sequoia National forest and Kings Canyon National Park. This is a very scenic drive. 11:00 am Boyden Cavern Experience being inside an intimate cave where you have to dock, dodge, climb and move sideways while touring the cave. Get to see different shapes of stalagmites and stalactites such as a Christmas tree, birthday cake and a dragon. 12:30 pm Grizzly Falls Bring a packed lunch to Grizzly Falls picnic area. They have tables and chairs by the parking area but if you are fine getting down and dirty, go straight nearby the falls. Grizzly falls is only a two minute walk from the parking. 2:00pm Zumwalt meadows A beautiful scenery of Kings Canyon National Park is the Zumwalt meadows. Go for an easy hike here around the loop with 1.1 mile or just the meadows at 0.3 miles. Get to walk beside the flowing river and listen to the rush of water. Hang out with the giant rocks of Kings Canyon. 4:30 pm General Grant General Grant is the largest Sequoia tree in Kings Canyon Park. You can drive here at the start of the day or at the end of the day. It's a beautiful walk and it's easy.
