The Role of Neurogenital Testing in Evaluating Patients with PGAD/GPD

We had another amazing webinar; The Role of Neurogenital Testing in Evaluating Patients with PGAD/GPD on 01/13/2021 and wanted to follow up for those of you who made it and for those who were not able to make it.  Find out how spinal abnormalities such as degenerative disc disease, annular tears, herniated discs, tarlov cyst, and others can cause pelvic system dysfunction such as GPD, interstitial cystitis, etc. Important information about the doctors:  Dr. Choll Kim: Office Phone Number: (619) 344-6918 Website: www.excelspine.com Contact us at https://excelspine.com/contact/ or (619) 344-6918 Follow me on social media: https://linktr.ee/drchollkim Subscribe to my weekly emails: http://eepurl.com/hsKXO5 Dr. Irwin Goldstein: Office Phone Number: (619) 265-8865 Website: sandiegosexualmedicine.com Twitter:   / sdsexualmed   Group Website:  https://www.spine-sexmed.org Questions: 1. I have a Schwannoma tumor at the S2 nerve sheath and I have a tear at the L2/L3. I have degenerative disk disease. I have extreme at times arch pain in both feet that is chronic. Could my foot pain be linked to my back issues? I was told I have plantar fasciitis but I am thinking this might be linked to my back issues (via nerves?) as when my back flares up, my feet also flare up. 2. How many times can one safely receive pain management injections before they start to degrade the region? At what time does one resort to surgery? 3. If surgery is an option for my situation, what would the possible BAD outcomes be ? (ie: probability of paralysis, incontinence, etc). 4. Is it possible to repair a tear at the L2/L3? What is the probability of success verses non-successful outcomes. 5. Could you describe a surgical procedure to remove a schwannoma tumor from a nerve sheath and the recovery after surgery? What is the probability of success? 6. What is the difference between a Schwannoma tumor, tarlov cyst and a lipoma cyst? 7. Are holistic treatment options such as therapeutic massage and vibration massage, or compression belts being used for symptom relief options? other options? 8. If I have a herniated disc, how do I get help in case that's causing the problem? How do I assert that needs to be addressed when it's being ignored? (same with other commonly ignored things like tarlov cysts, etc.) 9. With men that have genital arousal, is it common for them to get hyperprolactinemia? 10. I've been in regular PT and pelvic floor therapy for over a year. How do I get my medical team on board looking beyond that and look at other treatments or surgery? 11. Is there a way I can share this presentation with my medical team? If not, what can I point them to? 12. Can Taylor cysts cause lichen sclerosis?
