FULL EPISODE: Luxury Homes in New York City | Open House TV

Welcome to this week's exciting episode of Open House NYC, where we're diving deep into the heart of luxury living in New York City! Whether you're in the market for a chic penthouse, a stylish townhouse, or simply enjoy exploring breathtaking design, we have something for every taste. Join our exuberant host, Sara Gore, as she takes you on a tour of several stunning homes in prime locations across the Big Apple, showcasing their incredible architecture, unique features, and mesmerizing views — starting with a glamorous triplex loft in SoHo, originally designed by Tony Ingrao. With nearly 8,500 square feet of space, this sleek home boasts soaring ceilings, expansive windows, and a seamless flow between living areas and truly epitomizes sophisticated downtown living. Next on our NYC home tour list? Dreaming big on Billionaire's Row, where one of the tallest residential buildings in the world houses a duplex that’s pure luxury. Spanning over 6,500 square feet, this penthouse is jaw-dropping from every angle. Step inside with real estate agent Nikki Field and be immediately struck by the grand salon — with 14-foot ceilings and 52-foot length stretching from the Hudson River to Central Park, this space is truly spectacular. From every window, you'll catch stunning views of the George Washington Bridge, Catskills foothills, and the Long Island Sound. The grand salon sets the tone for this world-class home, with its high-end custom oak floors, exquisite lighting, and art-worthy gallery walls. After that, we head to Turtle Bay, where we find a charming Manhattan townhouse, once lived in by the legendary Katharine Hepburn. This home has been expertly designed by Garrow Kedigian, blending old-world character with modern glamour. The kitchen, once draped in plain white, now pops with bold colors — a mix of blue and red that perfectly complements framed sketches by possibly Hepburn herself. The formal dining room is a standout, with a fireplace flanked by Venetian mirrors and a view into a secluded garden that offers a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The space feels decadent yet inviting, with fabrics and textures adding to the comfortable atmosphere. The shared garden space outside is an unexpected surprise, offering peace and tranquility in an otherwise busy metropolis. We then venture over to Red Hook, Brooklyn, where cookbook author and podcast host Jessie Sheehan invites us into her vibrant townhouse, which is a true reflection of her personality and interests. Known as an “upside-down house,” Sheehan’s abode places all the bedrooms on the second floor, while the main living areas — including a gorgeous kitchen — are located at the very top, maximizing views of the water. Bright orange trim adds a bold touch to the warm wooden floors throughout. The living room is drenched in natural light, creating the most magical setting for get-togethers. As a baker, Sheehan shines in her chef-worthy kitchen, where she whips up delicious treats like savory French cheese puffs and indulgent peanut butter pie. This house is more than just a home — it’s a space for creativity, baking, and whipping up wonderful memories with family and friends. Next: We drop by West Chelsea to tour a bespoke penthouse designed by interior designer Catalina Castaño at the iconic Lantern House. Castaño's keen eye for detail brings this penthouse to life, with lovely touches that complement the building’s architecture. The great room features an irregularly shaped dining table and translucent pendant lights that highlight the city’s skyline. The living area centers around a custom velvet sofa, inspired by the building’s signature curved windows, creating a cozy, welcoming vibe. The primary bedroom is an oasis of calm with Venetian plaster walls and a floating bed that makes you feel like you’re sleeping in the clouds. But the true star of the home is the roof deck — a hidden garden that offers picturesque vistas of the city. Finally, we find ourselves in Washington Heights, where architect Adam Rolston has created an art deco apartment that’s both a tribute to history and a contemporary masterpiece. After purchasing the apartment, Rolston undertook a renovation that honors its 1930s roots while infusing it with modern flair. Inspired by a trip to Havana, Rolston transformed the space into what he calls “Havana on the Hudson.” The home features rich green hues that reflect the surrounding landscape, while the original architectural elements blend seamlessly with bold design choices. The living room is versatile, designed to be as practical as it is beautiful, with designated space for everything from lounging to hosting festive cocktails. Every corner of the abode is infused with Rolston’s personal style and travel experiences. Whether it’s the soaring views of a penthouse, the historic charm of a townhouse, or the creative soul of a Brooklyn residence, which home caught your eye in this week's episode?
