In this video I take a look at the proposed Incredible Hulk and Spider-man TV team-up that could have been but wasn't. I speculate what the story might have been like if the Hulk would have teamed up with Spider-man anywhere between their original runs in the 70's and 80's, and what the proposed 1984 TV movie would have been like according to Nicolas Hammond who played Spider-man on television. According to my research Nicolas Hammond had reported to SFX magazine that a TV movie with the Hulk and Spiderman was in the works at one point, but was ended before it began to film. A couple of different explanations are presented for this failure to bring the two superheroes together on the TV screen. One was that Lou Ferrigno was too busy filming another movie, but Ferrigno was never contacted. Bill Bixby who played David Banner the man who turns into the Incredible Hulk was set to direct and Nicolas Hammond was going to get a writing credit. There was even mention of using the black Spider-man costume that had just came out in comics.
