La comuna 13 is one of Medellin’s most iconic places. It has quickly become the most toured part of the entire city and there are plenty of reasons as to why. It has an incredible history and the local community has fought to come out of a dark past. The environment is so entertaining and there is always loads of action. From incredible street dancers, to the best mango popsicles on Earth this is a must see if you are traveling to Medellin, Colombia. It is really easy to get to the Comuna from any part of the city. If you are staying in el Poblado just take the metro to San Antonio station and switch there to the line going west. You take the west line all the way to the last stop, which is San Javier, and you are in Comuna 13. There are a ton of different tours you can take with various different companies. I would recommend booking one if you want it in English or French, but if you are fine with Spanish you can just arrive at the metro station and easily find a guide. I highly recommend booking a tour with Lets Colombia if you want it to be in English or French!
