Performance by Almagul Menlibayeva "I want to sell it, my family needs money. Anyway, what a pity, you can only wear it once." said sadly, my married girlfriend. I bought this wedding dress as a sign of sympathy and help. The big old wedding dress began to live in my small Almaty apartment… For almost a year the dress asked me many questions. They made my room even cramped, that there was nothing left to do but just dress up and drag out into the street to solve them... I remember that February day, I went to the streets of bazaars along the Silk Road and the unfamiliar periphery of my city of Almaty. I didn't have any particular plan, except to take the full position of my own vulnerability, exactly where the dress drove me over this year. Curious people asked me questions ... some of them were just as cruel as I had, but strangely, the more people around me asked, the fewer questions left inside me. ...Next morning, while washing my face, I noticed in the mirror that I had a different inner look. This is was my alternative "practice" with a wedding dress.
