Yes, you can do a regular PhD after a distance MBA. I don’t know how many people do this, however, it can be done. I have seen some people do a PhD after an executive MBA. The best thing to think about is whether you will be good at research. There is generally a few ways that you can tell whether you are good at research. 1.I would think about whether you are actually performing well in your classes. 2. I would also think about whether you work hard at the classes, or a just intellectually good. If you are working hard and are intellectually good, you are likely to do well in the PhD 3. I would also think about what are your motivations to do a PhD after a MBA. Why are you think about the PhD? If the motivate that you have is strong enough, you will likely do OK in the PhD.
