This is a video of a talk given by Dr. Larry Burk where he discusses the mystical teachings of the French Jesuit priest Teilhard de Chardin for Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship (SFF) on Sept. 7, 2023. SFF is a non-profit organization that presents noted speakers on the first Thursday ten months of the year via Zoom. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955) was a French intellectual and Jesuit priest who became a noted paleontologist and believer in Darwin's theory of evolution who earned the emnity of the Catholic church for these beliefs who banned him from teaching and prohibiting dissemination of his writings (bans which were largely ignored). During WW1 he was a stretcher bearer who served in over sixty battles, services which earned him the highest of French military honors. He was and still is an extremely controversial and interesting figure and Larry Burk presents some intriguing perspectives on his life and especially his ideas about the "Omega Point" which in many ways presages the development of the worldwide internet.
