Various shots Chiaki Kuriyama and Phong Lam KILL BILL ACTRESS MAKES VISIT TO HONG KONG Japanese actress and model Chiaki Kuriyama, best known for her character in "Kill Bill Volume 1" (2004) visited Hong Kong on Friday (4 Dec) to promote Japanese beauty products. Kuriyama is well known in Asia having appeared in various Japanese movies, including horror films "Shikoku" and "Ju-on" as well as TV dramas in the late 90s'. Her role in Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill", saw Kuriyama play a killer dressed in a school uniform who protects the Yakusa leader. The actress said she is interested in taking projects in Hong Kong or Hollywood but the language barrier still remains a concern. After "Kill Bill", Kuriyama took roles in several Japanese films including controversial director Takashi Miike's "The Great Yokai War" (2005) and ''KIDS'' (2008). In addition to acting, Kuriyama has also appeared in several commercials endorsing fashion, beauty and electronic products.
