Dahican Beach stretches along the Pacific Ocean in Mati City, the capital of Davao Oriental in the southeastern Philippines. It's known for its long, pristine white sand and consistent waves. The most common way to get here is from Davao City. Take a bus from the Ecoland Bus Terminal bound for Mati City (travel time is around 3-4 hours). Once in Mati, you can hire a tricycle or "bao-bao" for a roughly 15-20 minute ride to Dahican Beach. Vans are also available for a faster but pricier option. If you're here for surfing, the best time to visit Dahican is during the "Amihan" season, which typically runs from November to March. This northeast monsoon brings consistent and quality waves, with February often offering the glassiest swells. Waves can reach up to 10 feet, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced surfers.
