Kepler Forerunner Robot: China's Answer to Tesla Optimus Robot CES 2024

Kepler Humanoid Robot: China's New Challenger to Tesla Optimus [CES 2024] Special regards to@KeplerRobot Kepler Humanoid Robot is a new product from China's Kepler Exploration Robot Company, and it's set to debut next week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. This advanced humanoid robot stands at a height of 178cm (5'10"), weighs 85kg (187 lbs.), and boasts an intelligent and dexterous hand with 12 degrees of freedom. The entire body has up to 40 degrees of freedom, enabling functionalities such as navigating complex terrains, intelligent obstacle avoidance, flexible manipulation of hands, powerful lifting and carrying of heavy loads, hand-eye coordination, and intelligent interactive communication. Kepler Humanoid Robot is powered by a system akin to Tesla's Optimus, employing planetary roller screw actuator and rotary actuator technology. This enables the robot to exhibit sophisticated body movements, surpassing conventional motors in delivering precision control, enhanced power, and quick responsiveness. Kepler Humanoid Robot also has a group of sensors in its head, including a wide-angle binocular camera, a far-field array of four microphones, an accelerometer, and an AHRS (attitude and heading reference system). These sensors allow the robot to perceive its surroundings, recognize objects and faces, and orient itself in space. It also has a synthetic voice module and stereophonic speakers, which enable it to communicate with humans and other robots. Kepler Humanoid Robot is designed to be a general-purpose humanoid robot, which means it can be applied to a wide range of scenarios and industries. Kepler claims that its robot can provide solutions for education and research, smart inspection, automated production line, warehousing and logistics, outdoor tasks, and high-risk operations. In this video, I will give you an overview of the features and specifications of the Kepler Humanoid Robot, and compare it with its main rival, the Tesla Optimus robot. The Tesla Optimus is also a general-purpose humanoid robot, which aims to replace humans in dangerous, repetitive, and boring tasks. It has a similar shape and size as humans, measuring 173 cm (5'8") tall and weighing 57 kg (125 lbs.). It has a carrying capacity of 20 kg (45 lbs.) and a walking speed of 8 km/h (5 mph). It is controlled by the same AI system that Tesla uses for its cars, and has a variety of sensors and cameras on its body. The Tesla Optimus also uses planetary roller screw actuators and rotary actuators for its joints, but it is not clear how they compare with the Kepler Humanoid Robot's actuators in terms of performance and specifications. Which humanoid robot is better? Which one would you prefer to buy or work with? And what kind of tasks would you like them to do for you?
