He earned degrees in jazz piano performance from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Texas at Austin. He has performed with jazz artists and ensembles such as Bill Watrous, Peter Erskine, John Fedchock, Dennis Mackrel, Butch Miles, the Dave Rivello Ensemble, and the 1940s big band the Glenn Miller Orchestra whom he toured with on piano throughout the U.S. and Japan. In 2022, he performed with the Led Zeppelin super group the “Soul Of Zeppelin” along with vocalist Marcus Scott (Tower of Power) and Nick D’Virgilio (Genesis, Tears for Fears).
