PAULY SHORE IS DEAD - 20TH ANNIVERSARY I can't believe it's been 20 years. Pauly Shore is Dead was the first part of the second part of my career. Vince Vaughn told me, "The first one's the hardest one," and he was absolutely right. Took me about 5 years to put this together. I wrote it with my friend Kirk Fox, directed it, produced it, and financed it. The movie Pauly Shore is Dead appeals to the audience that likes my stuff and also appeals to the audience that doesn't like my stuff. We got into some festivals and did really well with this film. I definitely wanna thank everyone that helped me make this movie -- Dean Gelber, Bobby Luddington, Miles Barken, Gregory Cohen, Jeremy Dallow, Jim DiLorenzo, Jonathan Ross Gilbert, Don Jamieson, Brian Pratt, Marie-Flore Beaubien, and especially Sean Penn -- if you never agreed to do the movie, no one else would have.
