In winter Basipota Green yard is a lovely place to see Migrate Birds. How to Go Map :- https://maps.app.goo.gl/YFc2K5VKjTiUV... At first, you have to reach Uttarpara Station. You can easily avail many local trains (Bandel Local, Tarakeswar Local, Bardhaman Main Local, Seoraphuli Local) from Howrah Station. From Sealdah, 1st take Dankuni Local, Reach Bally Halt. Bally Station (Howrah Line) is just 3-5 minute walk. Catch above locals from there. Uttarpara is just next station of Bally. From Uttarapra Station (Platfrom No.3, Bally Station Side) Level crossing take an Auto (Uttarpara Station- Dankuni Station Route) to Raghunathpur Bazar. Just Beside Bazar, take the local road towards Basipota beside canal (Basically Drain). After 5 minute the road divided into 2 Parts, both road goes to Basipota Green yard. Prefer Right Side Road (Way to School) first. In way, you will see some birds (Actually saw in Childhood, not now-a-days in Kolkata) that proves that you are Birds Heaven. Some Tips: 1. Go there in early morning or Afternoon to see much more birds. 2. Carry a good Binocular to see bird’s daily routine. 3. Take Hat (to avoid sun heat) and Water Bottle (There are tube well to fill it again) 4. You can buy ‘bori’ or Fish from Raghunathpur Bazar. Price much chipper than Kolkata. 5. In winter, try Khejur Ras. There are many khejur trees. 6. In picnic times, you can arrange picinic there ( Talk with local club) 7. Try to carry packed lunch or dry eateries, otherwise you have to return Raghunathpur Bazar for lunch.
