And when it did so, it beat the previous record by a whopping 1400 miles. Of course, the world has changed dramatically in the 20 years since, and demand for long-haul travel has grown rapidly. In fact, 9 out of the 10 longest flights today debuted within the last decade. And yet, Singapore’s New York service remains untouched atop the list.
