LA Reid New Label Hitco & Artist The Bonfyre

Legendary Music Executive LA Reid is back ! And last night he brought the who’s who of Atlanta out to listen to and celebrate his new R&B / Pop sensation The Bonfyre. Who released her debut EP “Ready to love” on Reids new Hitco Music label partnered with Cultural icon and Musical Giant Raphael Saadiq. ATL hasnt seen a party like this in Years. Big Boi isn’t the only signee at L.A. Reid’s new venture, Hitco. Founded by the former Epic Records chairman/CEO and music-industry veteran and entrepreneur Charles Goldstuck, Hitco has also signed a handful of new acts, sources tell Billboard, and has hired 25 people, opening its Los Angeles office recently. Kirdis Postelle, the former general manager and 17-year veteran of Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment label, has left her svp role at Warner Bros. Records, will officially start at Hitco April 1, sources say. EMPIRE will distribute HitCo’s releases, sources confirm. Variety earlier reported the deal with the San Francisco-based indie distributor and the signing of Outkast’s Big Boi. Reid had signed Outkast to Arista Records, which he led from 2000 to 2004, and Goldstuck was president/COO of Arista’s parent Bertelsmann Music Group from 2003 to 2008. Last year Hitco had been in talks to sign producers as well, though sources say none have inked deals to date.
