Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 6:00pm | Emerson Hall, Room 105 Ben Lerner is the author of seven books of poetry and prose as well as several collaborations with visual artists, including Gold Custody (with Barbara Bloom), recently published by Mack, and The Cliches (with R.H. Quatyman), just published by Song Cave Editions. His most recent novel, The Topeka School, won the Los Angeles Times Book Award and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. He has received fellowships from the Fulbright, Guggenheim, and MacArthur Foundations, among other honors, and is a Distinguished Professor of English at Brooklyn College. His new book of poetry, The Lights, will be published by FSG next fall. Duncan White is Associate Director of Studies in History & Literature at Harvard University. His most recent book is Cold Warriors: Writers Who Waged the Literary Cold War. Writers Speak, a series of literary conversations at the Mahindra Humanities Center, is convened by Duncan White, Associate Director of Studies in History & Literature at Harvard University.
