Towards the end of the last Lateral Line fishing mission, the crew stumbled into a massive workup—whales, dolphins, and dive-bombing gannets putting on an incredible show of nature at its best! A huge school of baitfish sought shelter under the boat, giving the GoPro an epic opportunity to capture stunning underwater footage of feeding dolphins, yellowtail kingfish, and diving gannets. But things got a little too close for comfort when a whale—unable to detect the boat through the thick bait school—bumped the bow! After driving off to give the whales, dolphins, and gannets some space, it was time to fill the chilly bin. Alex steps up and hooks a solid fish on a light soft bait and reel combo, putting on an entertaining battle before landing a beauty.
