Cell to Cell Communication || Types of signaling

Find notes here: https://www.nonstopneuron.com/post/ce... Explore our entire animation video library at: https://www.nonstopneuron.com/ Video Summary: Cells in multicellular organisms coordinate their activity by communicating with each other. This communication occurs by chemical messengers. Such messengers can be amines, peptides, steroids, or other small molecules. These molecules travel to the target cells. Based on how far they travel, communication can be endocrine, paracrine, autocrine, or juxtacrine. In endocrine signaling, molecules are released into the blood and affect a cell located far away. In paracrine signaling, one type of cell releases a messenger that affects a different type of cell in the same tissue. In Autocrine signaling, cells release molecules that target the same cell or other cells of the same type. In juxtacrine signaling, cells communicate by direct physical contact. The signal molecules bind with receptors on the target cells. Hydrophilic molecules bind with receptors on the cell surface and hydrophobic molecules bind with receptors inside the cell. Various types of receptors are ligand-gated ion channels, G proteins coupled receptors, catalytic receptors, and nuclear receptors. 🎞 More videos on General Physiology: • Milieu Interieur vs Milieu Exterieur: Milieu Interieur vs Milieu Exterieur:    • Milieu Interieur: the WORLD inside us   • Homeostasis & Negative feedback loop:    • If You Understand This, Physiology Wi...   • Biological Membrane and Fluid Mosaic Model:    • Biological Membrane and Fluid Mosaic ...   • Phospholipids in Water:    • Phospholipids in Water: How Biologica...   • Cell Nucleus:    • The COMMANDER of the Cell: Cell Nucleus   • Endoplasmic Reticulum:    • Endoplasmic Reticulum: Structure & Fu...   • Golgi Apparatus:    • Golgi Apparatus   • Interesting facts about Protein Synthesis and SecretionL    • 9 INTERESTING FACTS about Protein Syn...   • Mitochondria:    • Mitochondria: Structure & Functions   • Interesting facts about Protein Synthesis and SecretionL    • 9 INTERESTING FACTS about Protein Syn...   • Why ATPs are called Energy Currency of the Cell:    • Why ATPs are called Energy Currency o...   • How Physiological Parameters are Controlled?:    • NOBODY TEACHES You This BASIC CONCEPT...   • Primary vs Secondary Active Transport:    • Primary Active Transport vs Secondary...   ● Follow me at: • Facebook:   / nonstopneuron   • Instagram:   / nonstopneuron   DISCLAIMER: This video is for education purposes only.
