Because having a WordPress plugin, that entails a bit of a hassle maintaining it all. I’m going to use Ko-fi, but buymeacoffee is probably as good. I just like ko-fi’s logo more. Has a little hart in it... You know I have soft spot for that... You can also use paypal.me to receive donations. This works really well although supporters can only pay with PayPal. But I’ve tested on my site and PayPal tip jar performs better than the others. Once you’ve signed up with one of the above services, you can share this URL anywhere, and your potential supporters can donate money. Okay, awesome that was pretty easy right? And now if you provide enough value, people will start donating you some money. Don’t expect this to be big amounts, but for me it’s more than enough to cover my web hosting costs and keep my website running.
