Chazz, also known as Carlos Menendez, was born in 1963 to Cuban parents who fled Havana in 1963, seeking a better life in the US. He grew up in New Jersey and later moved to New York City to pursue a career in the film industry. Chazz worked in various roles including as a sound designer and eventually transitioned into stunt performing and coordination, working on popular shows like "POWER" and its spin-offs. In 2001, he volunteered at Ground Zero after the 9/11 attacks and later survived a life-threatening tumor, which led him to focus on nonprofit work supporting the people of Cuba.
