To update your PlayStation 4 (PS4) using a USB drive, follow these steps: Visit the official PlayStation website to download the latest system software update file (PS4 update file). Inside the "PS4" folder, create another folder named "UPDATE" (again, without the quotes). Copy the downloaded PS4 update file (usually named "PS4UPDATE.PUP") into the "UPDATE" folder on your USB drive. Safely eject the USB drive from your computer.
