Android Auto New Look: The new Android Auto 2019 update, find out how simple and easy it is to use

The latest version of Android Auto has been released in 2019. You can enable it with a toggle switch in the Android Auto app. How easy is it to use? Is it worth changing from the existing version? In this overview, I take you through connecting your phone to the car. How to use the new design and find your favourite apps. Then I show you the hidden setting that will let you use apps like Audible on Android Auto in your car. I bought a Suzuki Swift this year and it came with support for Android Auto. Finally, I was able to listen to audiobooks and podcasts in the car without having to mess about with the 12v socket, FM radio transmitters or any other accessory. All you need is the app on your Android phone and a USB-C cable to connect to the USB port in your car. One of the things I noticed was that some apps did not show up on the screen. For a while, I could only see Google Maps and Podcasts. No Waze. No Spotify. No Audible. No Stitcher. Google has a rule that blocks apps from displaying on the screen that are from 'unknown sources'. I worked out how to bypass that and get them to work. When you have the latest version of Android Auto and Play Store apps you can now see most apps on the head unit. But there was still a couple that did not work. You can see how to get those working in this video. Subscribe to Kimbley IT:    / kimbleyc.  . Check out our playlists:    / kimbleyc.  .
