Hilary Duff (born September 28, 1987, in Houston, Texas) is an American actress, singer-songwriter, producer, author, and entrepreneur, best known as a teen idol in the early 2000s. Duff first rose to prominence playing the title role in the hit Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire" (2001–2004), establishing herself as a relatable teen icon.
