On the right side of Albandeira, on the other side of the cliff, you will also see a famous rock that looks like an arch. This arch is known as Arco de Albandeira. The arch has been formed by many years of erosion. These unusual rock formations make Praia de Albandeira a unique beach. From Praia de Albandeira, you can swim underneath Arco de Albandeira. Just swim to the right side of the beach and turn around the corner. You can swim to the other beach, Praia da Estaquinha. It gives a magical feeling to swim underneath this arch. It is possible to walk on top of the rocks, including the arch. From the beach entrance, walk on top of the cliffs to the right. There is a second beach right next to Praia de Albandeira. It is called Praia da Estaquinha. You can see it standing on the cliffs. You can go here in two ways: By tunnel from Praia de Albandeira. This is a short walk, but be careful with the tide. From Praia de Albandeira, swim around the rocks on the right side. You can swim below the arch all the way to the beach of Estaquinha. During high tide, this beach almost disappears. It is recommended to visit this beach only during low tide. From this beach, you can see the famous Arco de Albandeira. There is a tunnel directly from Praia de Albandeira to Praia da Estaquinha. You can find it on the right side of Albandeira beach. The tunnel can only be used during low tide.
