In this video, we’re going on a virtual city tour of Oslo, the capital city of Norway. Together, we’ll explore the history behind over one hundred of Oslo’s landmarks, monuments and cultural figures who made the city what it is today. So whether you’re a tourist, new to the city or a local, I guarantee that, by the end of the video, you’ll have a better understanding of Norway’s fast-growing capital. We start with the history of Oslo and a quick overview of the city. Then it’s a whirlwind tour of the city, featuring attractions like the Oslo Opera House, Oslo City Hall, Akershus Fortress and The Royal Palace, as well as some hidden gems. Then there’s a selection of side quests, covering Vigelandsparken, Holmenkollen and Oslo’s numerous museums. Lastly, there’s some of my favourite tips, a comparison of Oslo against its neighbours and a quick summary. As always, throughout the video I’ll highlight any links to the UK. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to my channel for more insights into Norwegian culture from the inside. INNVANDRERS GUIDE TO NORWAY Innvandrer is the Norwegian word for immigrant which literally translates to one who wanders in. “Innvandrers Guide to Norway” is a cinematic vlog and travel documentary series that aims to show what it is like living in Norway. Although every effort has been made regarding maintaining accuracy, I am not a professional historian, linguist or academic. My role is to make Norwegian history and culture accessible to English speaking audiences while I learn the language, so please understand that comes with limitations.
