Pi’erre Bourne - Marie Curie Part. 1 (Serum Tutorial) I first started a triangle-square patch, added a filter on osc-a because I did not want any high-end on the triangle. Then added a brightwhite for that vhs/videogame effect, note the octave and semitone changes. As macro one is being modulated for the volume. There’s another layer under the chords because I wanted to make the whole synth sound “wide”. I just detuned it with 2 voices, again brightwhite. I also added a multi-band compression for the dynamics. The bass-line is just the same as the prior synth just bass notes and an octave down. The sub is just a sine basically, with a low octave to cover the low frequencies. The post processing on the chords is just ott, imaging, and eq. The sine lead then is just a sine with chorus and reverb. The pluck is just the first patch with the cutoff turned up and a envelope shortened. I did not spend so much time on the trumpet, but osc-a is the main source of the sound, as i modulated the wavetable position, quantize. The distortion effect really brought the harmonics needed as well as the filter.
