[Update: 2022/07/19] - I'm surprised that this video still has momentum, as it was a one-off video that was pretty much abandoned after upload. A lot has changed since then, and while this guide still works, the preferred torrenting application and websites to find torrents have changed in the past few years. While this guide can still be followed, please do research into more modern sources for your torrenting application and sourcing of torrents. My other channel (   / kneecapbandit  ) is where I will be remaking this video in a modern context, with the inclusion of software downloads. There will also be more tutorials, tech videos, and the occasional gaming content on there. This channel for all intents & purposes, is no longer active. =-=-=-=-= Torrenting is a great way to download a variety of things from the internet. Games, Movies, Pictures, Songs, are just to name a few. In this video, I show you how to use torrents, how to download torrents, and where to acquire those said torrents. Please keep in mind there are many other torrent websites out there that offer a multitude of content as well, so keep an eye out for those particular sites. There is also alternative torrent software, I just happen to use Utorrent here. Please do keep in mind the risks and benefits that come with torrenting. Some of those include: Pros: - Great way to download things off the internet if direct download isn't an option - Can be done everywhere, anytime. - A virtually limitless library of applications - Can potentially save money, everything is free. Cons: - If illegally downloading software, the risk of getting viruses is always present - The risk of getting caught pirating is also there, please be wise while torrenting* - May be slow depending on internet connection ------- * = Any internet provider will be suspicious if downloading huge masses within a short time period. If your normal internet bandwidth revolves around lets say 250GB or something, and you only use facebook and such you're fine. To put it into simpler terms, If you then download hundreds of considerably sized games, then the monthly usage statistics will expand greatly. If your usage was at first 250GB and has been that for months, and then turns into 500GB or more, suspicions may arise.
